The Chanda lab welcomes our two new undergraduate researchers in the lab! Stephan is a senior undergraduate in biochemistry and Owen is a sophomore majoring in physics (and maybe mathematics, too). Both will be working with Ruohan and David on various aspects of the single-molecule projects in the lab.
New JGP paper now online! In this study, Dr. Claudia Alvarez-Baron and Dr. Vadim A. Klenchin explore what underlies the molecular basis for increased cAMP efficacy in HCN2 channels using a mutagenesis, electrophysiology, and kinetic modeling. See the paper here!

Co-first authors Marcel and Dima publish their paper in eLIFE where they combine single-molecule binding dynamics and a novel crystal structure to understand how cAMP binds to monomeric cyclic nucleotide binding domains of HCN2 channels. This also marks the first paper for both John and David from the lab! Congratulations all!
